Al-Misry al-Youm reports that Khaled Said Badran, a 42-year-old preacher, died in State Security custody on February 12, ten days after his arrest. State Security reportedly told his family that he had committed suicide:

Too lazy to get out the kamous (gathering dust under a coffee cup somewhere) to read that thing, but let me guess… strangled himself with his own rosary? Beat his own head against the wall till his brains ran out his ear? Those poor guys at State Security have the worst luck.

Not much detail about the cause of death in the story. Bruises around his neck.
